Description
A road cone
also known as a traffic cone, is a cone-shaped marker used to temporarily redirect traffic in a safe manner. They are commonly used during road construction or accidents to guide vehicles around hazards or closed lanes. Road cones are typically made of flexible, durable materials like rubber or PVC and are often brightly colored (usually orange) with reflective strips for increased visibility, especially at night.
They come in various sizes, with the most common being around 30 cm (11.8 in) to 1 m (39.4 in) tall. Some road cones may also have additional features like handles for easy carrying or weighted bases to prevent them from tipping over in windy conditions.
